PocketSuite 2.0 - Automating business management for the "solopreneur" and beyond

My role:

As the only product manager at PocketSuite during my time with the company, I oversaw the entire product ecosystem, comprising of mobile-first app (iOS & Android) and a web app for desktop customers. This led to the release of 10 features and 4 "white-labeled" editions of the product and a 2x increase in users on the platform. As someone who enjoys working in startup enviroments, It was a true please building out some best-in-class features for an amazingly passionate customer base. Being able to work with equally passionate team members and having a positive impact on SMBs was something that truly fed my love for being a product manager.

What was the problem?

PocketSuite was outdated and underserving its core audiences. Serving 67 different customers (dog walkers, mobile car detailers, landscapers, hair stylists, etc) led to an unfocused and unchecked feature prioritization approach. In turn, core features were not given the time they deserved and features we not being driven by the data and feedback that customers provided. It was time to pivot the way we thought about product!

Core problems with version 1.0 was its lack of design aesthetic...something that left prospective clients looking to the competition first. The features lacked intuitive UI which led to poor experience and a churn rate that was not sustainable for a pre-Series A company. The features were also seen as cast a wide net on as many industry verticals as possible to catch the most fish. Problem was, we were looking at the wrong body of water all together.

Solution?

Pocketsuite v2.0 - A complete overhaul to the experience and prioritized focus on must-have features that will grow the business.
